This is a full-time contract position (40 hours/week).
Be an agent of change and growth in the lives of children in care. As a Clinical Counsellor for Children and Youth Service, you work to develop treatment plans based on client need assessments. Working in cooperation with families, staff, community groups and the Child and Family Services Authority, you ensure appropriate school placements, recreational, cultural and therapeutic plans are implemented. Creative in your approach, you provide, individual, group, and family counseling and explore
effective strategies specific to client needs and circumstances. You are compassionate, professional, and dedicated to client care. Writing reports and maintaining files is made easy by your superior communication and organizational skills.
Your Masters Degree in Social Work or Psychology and registration with the respective association, combined with experience working with emotionally disturbed children ensures your success in this role. You have significant strength in community relationship building and are able to think globally about complex issues.
